Mini Juno Spacecraft

The Juno spacecraft was launched on August 5, 2011 and entered into a polar orbit around Jupiter on July 4, 2016. The mission will investigate the weather, composition, structure, magnetosphere, gravity field, auroras, origin, and evolution of the gas giant. This will be accomplished using its suite of microwave, infrared, ultraviolet, plasma, and radio science instruments.

Be sure to check out the page for my larger minifigure-scale Juno Spacecraft.

Learn more about this fascinating solar-powered craft at the Juno Mission Website and the Official NASA Website.

The Juno spacecraft also has three very interesting passengers on board. Tucked inside are LEGO minifigures of the Roman god Jupiter, his wife Juno, and Galileo Galilei. These particular minifigures are made out of aluminum instead of ABS plastic, like traditional minifugures.
