James Bond | Lotus Espirt S1 'Wet Nellie'

The name’s Nellie. Wet Nellie!

Some time ago, while searching the furthest corners of the interwebs for something shaken, but not quite stirred, I happened upon a sadly unsuccessful but altogether epic Lego Ideas project of the Lotus Esprit from my favourite Bond movie, 1977’s The Spy Who Loved Me, by Micro_Model_Maker. Much to my disappointment however, this expired project had run its course & renders of it's beauty were all that was left behind.

It was great, but alas, where were the underwater accoutrements? The fins? The tail? The jets? And at 10 wide, how much space did mini-fig Roger Moore really need?

The challenge was set, and inspired by that build, I set about making a transformable MOC in the hopes of doing ‘Wet Nellie’ justice.  It was undoubtedly a labour of love, but more than a few late nights later, for your pleasure I present my version of the Lotus Espirt S1 'Wet Nellie'.

Those who purchase the instructions will receive:

- 69-page professionally designed, detailed PDF instruction guide with different build sections for ‘Land’ & ‘Sea’

Fantastic model of a gorgeous car. Even without Old Bond, that was a beautiful car. The sub version is just icing on the cake. Well done!
