Stargate Bookends

Stargate is an all time favorite for Sci-Fi fans. It all started with the title movie in 1994, it was later followed by several TV shows, the principal one being Stargate SG-1 which ran for 10 seasons and a whopping 214 episodes.
This MOC depicts the earth gate located in the SGC (Stargate Command) and the Abydos gate, each vignette is built on a 16*16 studs base.
The 2 vignettes can either be connected to the other to form a larger diorama or used as bookends - or rather “dvd ends” as shown here.
The vortex effect is achieved with a simple printed sheet of paper.
The instructions and parts list do not include the Minifigs, for the SGC soldiers you can use a number of "military" looking Figs or custom ones with 3rd party weapons. For the Jaffas (these are the aliens with the Egyptian god masks) I used an Anubis guard from the Pharao's Quest theme and a Raven soldier from the Legends of Chima theme.

Very super moc. I love sg1 series... I buy the building instructions. But the inventory... There are many exchanges and shortages! and it would be good to have two printable stargate pictures.

I think these are great and well done!  Like someone else mentioned I think the build instructions are too expensive.  Drop it down to $2 and I'll buy it.  Other much more advanced builds like the one below that is $12.  Also, I see the flexible hose in the image for Stargate HQ but do not see them on the inventory, I just wanted to let you know so you can add them.

The military figs are made of random pieces, probably from Star Wars. Their accessories are not official Lego pieces but are from Brickarms and Brickforge. The Jaffa's are official Lego figs. The Anubis guard is from a retired series called "Pharaoh's Quest". The crow guard is from "Legends of China". Both can be purchased on Bricklink.

Surprised there are not more  "bookends" on here.
Excellent rendition btw , given number of parts. Fond memories of the show, especially Samantha Carter.
Great Actress, I will have to get my act together and build this soon.  Quite expensive for instructions , my only put off.

Haha, how cool is this. Brings me back to times when SG-1 aired on our cable and I was watching it daily :D

These are great. SG1 and the other Stargate spin-offs are some of my favorite sci-fi shows.
Are you planning more Stargate MOCs in the future?

Thank you for the kind words! I don't have any new Stargate creations in the works, but I have a couple old ones visible on my Flickr.
An Abydos scene from the title movie:
And a small "Death Glider" in chibi style:
